Rusty Moore is a Dickson, Tennessee native. He received his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Public Administration from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville in 1981. While an undergraduate at the University of Tennessee, Mr. Moore served as Vice-President of Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity and as an intern in the United States Senate. After graduation, Mr. Moore was appointed by the United States Senate as a Staff Assistant to Senator James Sasser of Tennessee.

Mr. Moore received his Doctor of Jurisprudence, cum laude, from the University of Tennessee College of Law in 1985. During law school, he served as Vice President of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity, as a Director of the Alumni Board for Phi Sigma Kappa fraternity and continued to serve in the Knoxville Office of Senator Sasser. Mr. Moore was admitted to the Tennessee Bar in 1985 and is a member of the Davidson County Bar Association. He began his practice of law in 1985 with the firm of Stokes & Bartholomew in Nashville, Tennessee where he was named as a partner in 1992. As a member of the firm of Stokes & Bartholomew, Mr. Moore’s practice included the areas of real estate, aviation and commercial law. He has been President of Bankers Title & Escrow Corporation since it was founded in 1991 and the principal owner of Bankers Title since 1996. He was chosen by his peers as “Best of the Bar” in 2008 in the area of Real Estate Law for the Nashville Bar Journal.

Mr. Moore is a member of the Nashville Bar Association and the Tennessee Bar Association. Mr. Moore has been an instructor in legal services on the subject of land acquisitions for the Airport Operations Council International, conducted home buyers classes for local lending institutions and has conducted seminars for realtors on real estate closings and title insurance issues. He has completed study and examination with Worldwide ERC and has been named a Certified Relocation Professional.

In our community, Mr. Moore served for over ten years as a volunteer instructor for the W.O. Smith Nashville Community Music School and is an Elder of Westminster Presbyterian Church. Mr. Moore is a former President and member of the Board of Directors for Nashville Area Habitat for Humanity. Mr. Moore was also President and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Heart Association Heart Gala, a member of the Board of Directors of the Belmont University Friends of the Arts Board and an Assistant Scoutmaster for Boy Scouts of America Troop 31 in Nashville. Mr. Moore and his wife have served as Annual Giving Chairmen and Presidents of the Parents Association for Oak Hill School and served on the Annual Fund campaign for Montgomery Bell Academy. Mr. Moore chaired the Father Son Golf Tournament of MBA for four years. He also led the Dad’s Network and served on Board of the Harpeth Hall School Parents Association. In 2018 he was elected as a City Commissioner for the City of Belle Meade . The Moore family is active with My Life Speaks, which is a community center and special needs orphanage in Neply, Haiti.
