Bankers Title began its journey in real estate closing work in 1988, incorporating as Bankers Title & Escrow Corporation in 1991. Under the leadership of President Rusty Moore and the guidance of founding directors Sam Bartholomew, Vaden Lackey, Tom French, Thomas Pennington, and D. Reed Houk, the company originally operated as part of the Stokes & Bartholomew law firm on West End Avenue. In 1996, Jim Waechter joined, and together with Rusty, they transitioned Bankers Title into an independent entity. Over the years, we have built strong relationships with Realtors, mortgage bankers, and developers, driving our growth. Today, with offices in four rapidly growing locations across Middle Tennessee, we continue to forge new connections and serve our clients with unmatched professionalism in title insurance and escrow services.

Decades of Trusted Title Services in Middle Tennessee
Bankers Title began doing closing work in 1988 and incorporated at Bankers Title & Escrow Corporation in 1991. At that time the company was part of the Stokes and Bartholomew law firm. President Rusty Moore and founding directors Sam Bartholomew, Vaden Lackey, Tom French, Thomas Pennington and D. Reed Houk then moved to the West End Avenue location.
Jim Waechter joined in 1996 after serving as a real estate attorney for thirteen years at Walt Dyer & James in Nashville. Soon after, Rusty and Jim took the company out of Stokes and Bartholomew and grow it as Bankers Title.
Bankers Title has has successful relationships with realtors, mortgage bankers, relocation companies, builders and developers over the years. We now have offices in four locations that are growing rapidly, we are always continuing to create new lasting relationships.
